NEWBORN SESSION INFORMATION
A Newborn Portrait Session is the perfect way to capture your baby as beautiful works of art to be cherished forever. As a mother myself, I can assure you that they grow up entirely too fast and the first few weeks of your baby’s life is so precious.
I recommend newborn portraits to be captured in the first two weeks following their birth, while they sleep soundly and allow me to pose them.
Newborn sessions generally last two to three hours, allowing plenty of time for feedings and diaper changes to keep your baby comfortable. The studio is kept warm and sanitized before, during and after each session, and all blankets are laundered. I’ll capture a variety of safe and natural newborn poses, while also capturing the tiny details that make your baby unique. I use blankets, wraps and knit accessories that create a soft, simple and timeless look. I do not use buckets, props, or anything that places the baby in a compromising positon. I keep it very simple with the majority of my poses on the floor.
Please bring a pacifier, bottle of formula (if applicable) and a few clean diapers. I will provide blankets, wraps, elegant headbands, and knit hats. If you are planning on taking a family photo, please take your wardrobe into consideration. Please refrain from loud colors, hoodies, or workout clothing. I recommend creams, neutral tones, and soft colors for soft intimate portraits that compliment each other. It’s best to avoid chunky jewelry and watches, which can be distracting.
Your portrait session is only the beginning of creating your custom artwork. Following your session, I spend an extensive amount of time curating and post-processing the best images to deliver to you. As you’ll see in my portfolio, each image is carefully and tastefully edited into a unique work of art. For every minute we spend together, I spend more behind the scenes, making your images and overall experience exceptional.
Within 2-3 weeks of your session, you will be receiving a link to your private gallery of beautifully edited portraits to download and purchase prints. This will be sent to you VIA EMAIL. The digital images are high resolution and you are welcome to download them all. While your gallery is active you will have the option of buying prints directly from my professional printing lab. If you prefer, you may place your order there. I will receive your order and then personally prepare the file and send to the lab.
